Ages 13 to 17. Sessions that belong to the teenager, not to the referral that brought them.

Therapy for teens, ages 13 to 17
Most teenagers arrive having already been told what the problem is, usually by someone else. We start somewhere else: with what you would change if you could change one thing.
Sessions are yours. You set the pace, you decide what we talk about, and you are allowed to say a topic is off the table for now.
“You are allowed to say you do not want to talk about it yet.”
What this looks like in practice
No performance required: you do not have to make eye contact, sit still, or look like you are listening in a particular way.
You can fidget: bring something to hold, stand up, draw, walk around. None of it counts against you.
Plain answers: if you ask what something means, or what I am writing down, you get a straight answer.
Your call on your parents: what gets shared, and what does not, is agreed with you first. See the FAQ.
What people bring in
Anxiety that has started deciding what you can and cannot do
Burnout and shutdown after years of holding it together at school
Being newly out, or not out, and working out who is safe
Feeling wrong in a way nobody has been able to name
Friendships and family that have got hard to navigate
Being told you are too much, or not enough, often enough to believe it
How it starts
A free fifteen minute call, with you, a parent, or both.
A first session that is mostly you asking me questions.
We agree what we are working on, in your words, not a diagnosis.
Weekly or every other week, 50 minutes, in person or online.
We check every few weeks whether this is still worth your time.
