Queer & Gender-Affirming Care

Queer-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming care where you are not required to explain yourself first.

Queer and gender-affirming care

Affirming means I am not going to treat your identity as the thing that needs examining. It also means I already know the vocabulary, so you are not spending your session teaching me.

You are welcome here whether you are certain, questioning, out to everyone, out to nobody, or somewhere that does not have a word yet.

“Affirming is the floor, not the ceiling.”

What that means concretely

  • Your name and pronouns are used from the first message, including on the intake form

  • No requirement to explain or justify your identity to receive care

  • Support around coming out, or deciding not to, and who is safe to tell

  • Help with the rest of your life as well, because being queer is not the only thing happening to you

  • Space to talk about gender without that conversation becoming the whole of therapy

Neurodivergent-affirming, in the same way

Autistic, ADHD, both, self-identified or formally diagnosed. Sessions are built around how you actually process, which usually means fewer social demands, clearer structure, and no penalty for stimming, fidgeting, or needing a topic written down rather than spoken.

Letters and assessments

What I can and cannot write depends on my licence and on where you live. Ask on the first call and you will get a direct answer rather than a maybe.
